Patti Shene Gonzales

"Why I write...
I have loved reading and writing since early childhood. Westerns resonate with me because the genre carries a morality tale and mirrors themes faced in modern society. As an author, I strive to bring glory to God and bless readers by introducing them to God’s truth through the words He inspires me to write."
Patti’s desire to be a published author simmered on the back burner for decades while she raised her family and pursued a career in psychiatric nursing. After years of devouring articles and books on the writing craft, attending countless writers’ conferences and workshops, and developing lasting relationships with other writers through ACFW, she is diving into this second career as a published author.
Patti fell in love with Westerns when she watched her first episode of the long running TV series Gunsmoke on September 10, 1955, at the age of four. When she moved from New York to Southeastern Colorado, she took up residence in the town where one of the beloved Gunsmoke actors grew up.
Patti is a widow with two adult children and one granddaughter. Having retired from her nursing career with the Veterans Administration, Patti has a passion for patriotism and supporting veterans through her local VFW auxiliary. When not writing, she enjoys reading, critiquing and encouraging other writers, spending time with family and entertaining her faithful feline companion, Duncan
