I’ve been spinning stories in my head since I could walk, writing them since I could first string sentences together, and started my first novel at age 15 … but the Lord made me wait 30 years to be published. I had 7 novels written by that time, but that first contract was for a novella I didn’t yet have written. Since then, each one has been its own step of faith (sometimes leap), but the Lord has made His presence made so amazingly known every time."
Transplanted to the far north after more than two decades in the Deep South, Shannon McNear loves losing herself in local history. She’s the author of twenty-one novels and novellas, not all of them in print, but her favorite roles are retired military wife, pastor’s wife, mom-of-many, mother-in-law, and grammie. When not cooking, researching, or leaking story from her fingertips, she enjoys being outdoors, hanging out with her grandbabies and basking in the beauty of the northern prairies.
