Sandra Merville Hart

“Why I write...
I write because it is so much fun! Much of writing is hard work but when my creative side takes over the story flows onto the page. That’s my favorite part of writing yet it doesn’t happen unless I put in the time to study my characters, setting, and time period. I research until I understand what folks living during the time period endured—then I’m ready to begin Chapter One. Research fuels my imagination.
Novels were playing out in my imagination a long time before I picked up a pen. It requires a lot of courage to share your heart within a story … yet those are the words that tug at readers’ emotions."
Sandra Merville Hart, award-winning and Amazon bestselling author of inspirational historical romances, loves to discover little-known yet fascinating facts from American history to include in her stories. She is a blogger, speaker, teacher and Executive Editor for DevoKids.com. She has taught at writers’ conferences, women’s retreats, writers’ groups, and spoken at book clubs.
